1.

How does the league scheduling work?
Generally, we have four one-hour timeslots for each league that we host. Your team will play in one of the four timeslots each week. The league schedule is generated two or three days prior to the start of the league, and you should get an email letting you know that the schedule has been posted online.

2.

Can I pick a timeslot to play in?
Unfortunately due to the number of teams(up to 40)in each league, we can not tailor the schedule for individual teams.

3. My partner can't make the game, can I bring a sub?
Yes. For regular season play, we would prefer that you bring a substitute and play rather than not show up. We just ask that one person playing be a legitimate team member. No ringer teams in the playoffs though!

4.

I'm a Beginner...will I have to play sweet teams every week and get crushed?
No. Based on feedback from our players, we ask you to indicate what your Cornhole skill level is when signing up. We will do our best to schedule teams to play against other teams of the same skill level during regular season play.

We have devised an ingenious system that breaks down skill level into three categories:

"Hey man...What's your record?"
(Experienced)
This classification applies to our more seasoned veteran teams. These players are pretty darn good...and by darn good, I mean really good.
"Eh, two out of three ain't bad"
(Intermediate)
This classification applies to those teams that may not sweep their way to the ChicagoCornhole Cup, but can certainly hold their own.
"There any drink specials tonight?"
(Recreational)
Although it would appear that this classification would apply to every team in our leagues, it is meant to apply to those that are simply out to enjoy a little Cornhole amongst friends. Maybe they've never played, or maybe they play all the time and never win...whatever.

What's the deal with the Playoffs?
League Playoffs take a single elimination tournament format (a la NCAA March Madness style). The playoff tournament is played on the final night of the seven week league.

The playoff schedule is usually posted and linked to from the league schedule a few days before the night of the playoffs. The reason that we have to wait to post the bracket is because the playoff schedule is based off of the leagues standings after the conclusion of the final week of regular season play.

6. How do I signup for this action?
Click on “Sign Up Online” under the “League” tab off the Home Page. Then, once you’ve decided which league works for you, hit the “Registration For This League is Open” box and start filling in the blanks. Simple as that.

7. How old do I have to be to play?
Since our leagues typically take place at bars, you must be 21 to play.

8. When do we get those awesome tees to start sportin’ around town?
If you signed up for league that will receive a t-shirt (all non-sprint leagues), all league players get hooked up with a league t-shirt. League tee shirts will be given out on or before the league Playoff night.

9. If the weather is miserable, how do I know if the league night has been cancelled?
If for any reason we need to cancel a particular league night, all league Team Captains will be notified of any changes or cancellations via the email provided during registration.

10. I decided to take up needlepoint. What is your refund policy?
Unfortunately, NO refunds will be issued for any requests made on or after the original league start date (no matter what the circumstances). There is a $25 processing fee for refunds requested prior to the league start date. If a team cancels within a week of the start date there will be a $50 processing fee. This policy also includes anyone injured and unable to play during or prior to the original start date. If we do issue you a refund, we will either mail you a check, which usually takes at least 8-10 business days, or we will credit the credit card used immediately (minus any processing fees).
